To Blog or Not to Blog?

We have decided “To Blog” and we are excited to officially re-release the Beacon Blog.

After spending many months solely focused on client work we decided that it was time for us to again have our forum for thoughts, experiences and opinions. During our travels (more than thirty-five weeks a year) we attend over twenty conferences, review numerous solutions and speak with many broker dealers, plus the occasional clearing firm. During all this activity, we have come away with some interesting comments that we will share with those of you that are interested.

First is our reflections on the recent Insite Pershing Conference held this past week in Hollywood, FL. The conference which sold out the Westin Diplomat was a blend of advisors, reps and broker dealers.

Over the three days the conference was a blend of new idea’s and education on Pershing products. Most importantly in our opinion was the front staging of Pershing’s iNautix imaging and workflow platform. 

The imaging and workflow platform iNautix is promoting has morphed from an existing Pershing toolset which was developed over the past four years. iNautix has and is working to evolve that platform to solve broker dealer holistic imaging and workflow needs.

The iNautix imaging and workflow front end is being re-designed with navigation and workflow integration with the back office being the key focus. This platform today has its strength in Pershing’s processes and by default workflows built specifically for back office use. However,in speaking with senior iNautix folks they are looking to expand their workflow capabilities to handle all imaging needs for the rep office including direct business. Time will tell on that one. In speaking with management their thoughts are in the right place. The question is can they get the technology to match the needed business processes.

Pershing also asked Marvin Clark, CTO at Woodbury Financial to speak about the current and future trends within the industry. Marvin touched on where the future on imaging and workflow within broker dealers; along with its integration in both front office and back office flows.

Lastly, the iNautix motto is clearing firm agnostic. Keep tuned!
